MI had a torrid campaign under new captain Hardik Pandya. But now the attention has turned to the ICC event. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will be among the first batch of players to leave for USA. India’s campaign in the T20 World Cup begins on 5th June against Ireland.

Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav will leave for USA on 24th May, the day of the Qualifier 1. The group stages end on 19th May and after a gap of two days, the first batch of players will leave for the United States.

As for the race for the IPL 2024 Playoffs is concerned, MI are already eliminated. Should GT lose their next match against CSK they too will be eliminated. Interestingly, the loser of the PBKS vs RCB match will also be eliminated.
