Hardik Pandya hasn’t had a good IPL so far, failing to fire with both bat and ball. Having made his comeback to the game after his injury, Pandya was expected to go back to doing what he is best at but it isn’t the case. Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill hasn’t had the best of the seasons so far yet. LSG skipper KL Rahul is another notable omission, given the debate around his strike rate in the shortest format of the game. MI keeper Ishan Kishan and KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer have also been omitted in Harbhajan’s list. RCB pacer Mohammad Siraj has had a miserable IPL 2024 campaign so far and hence is axed from the squad.

Harbhajan’s batting order comprises of a strong unit of seasoned and in form batters including Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, SKY. The spots for the role of the finishers have been handed out to Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube.

Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are named as the wicketkeepers in the squad whereas the all-rounder department features Ravindra Jadeja. The combination of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal feature in the squad as the spin twins alongside Jadeja. Jasprit Bumrah, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh and Mayank Yadav are the pacers named in Singh’s squad.
