Batting first against SRH after losing the toss, KKR struggled at 31/3 after losing the openers and Sunil Narine early. Nitish Rana was entrusted with the responsibility of resurrecting the innings. He was involved in some good partnerships with skipper Shreyas Iyer, Sheldon Jackson and Andre Russell to help his team post good total.
The incident however happened in the first ball of the 12th over when he smashed a Umran Malik delivery over the vacant area at the third man boundary. The delivery was bowled at a pace of 149 kmph and it pitched inside the boundary rope and went on to hit the glass of the fridge at the dugout, breaking it.
