Shubman Gill records sixth duck in Tests, falls victim to Hasan Mahmud with soft dismissal in IND vs BAN 1st Test

Shubman Gill has disappointed again. Coming to bat at number 3 in the IND vs BAN 1st Test, the ace batter struggled early on. And then on a poor delivery way wide off leg stump, he nicked it to squander his wicket. And with this duck, Gill has amassed 6 ducks in red ball cricket with his second coming against Bangladesh.

India are now in middy waters. Rohit Sharma was the first batter to be dismissed on a cloudy Chennai pitch. Shubman Gill was expected to hold the fort. But he too followed suit and departed without troubling the scoreboard.

Shubman Gill falters!

India’s ace batter Shubman Gill was expected to fill in the spot left at number 3. He faltered yet again when he got the opportunity. But credit goes to the Bangladeshi bowlers. Hasan Mahmud with his fiery spell has broken India’s top order and Shubman Gill to fell victim to the pacer.

While it is Gill who is to be blamed for his dismissal as India’s middle order was exposed to a seaming pitch. Gill in his haste to get off the mark with a boundary, decided to nick a ball which was going way past the leg stump. The ball took a thick deflection before handling safely in the hands of Litton Das.
