‘Rohit Sharma is great player’: Yograj Singh rubbishes age debate ahead of T20 World Cup

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma has been rather out of form in IPL 2024, casting aspersions over his form ahead of T20 World Cup

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father asserts that the conversation about the age of the players should be scrapped. Speaking to News18, Yograj Singh opined that Rohit Sharma was a great player who was never concerned about fitness and training and that he should continue to play until he can.

The ex-cricketer’s remarks come amid the debate over if experienced players should pave way for young talent in the shortest format of the game.

I’ve never understood the talk about age. What is wrong if you are fit and performing at 40-45. The age factor should be scrapped, Rohit Sharma is a great player who never thought about fitness and training. If he does, he can play till he is 50,” Yograj Singh told News18.
