Rohit Sharma & Hardik Pandya practice together in Mumbai ahead of India vs England ODIs

Rohit Sharma might play for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy on January 23 while Hardik Pandya will feature in the India vs. England T20I series starting January 22.

Preparations are in full effect. Two Indian captains, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, were spotted practicing at the Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai yesterday (January 16). While both were in separate nets, the two stars who feature for the India cricket team and Mumbai Indians were spotted in the same frame.

Rohit Sharma to skip Ranji Trophy?

It has been reported that Rohit Sharma might feature for Mumbai in their opening Ranji Trophy clash against Jammu and Kashmir. In the video where the Indian captain can be spotted hitting balls out of the parks, one thing can be spotted. That is, he’s practicing with a white ball. That would indicate that Rohit isn’t preparing for the Ranji Trophy but rather the upcoming India vs. England ODI series and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Hardik Pandya getting ready for India vs England T20Is

While Rohit was batting, Hardik was bowling. Unlike the opener who’s retired from T20Is, the all-rounder will be in action next week against England in a 5-match T20I series. He’s expected to be in Kolkata by January 18, when Team India begins their training camp. But, for now, Hardik is working on his bowling in Mumbai.

Like Rohit, Hardik too will be a part of the England ODI series and the ICC Champions Trophy. His workload will be slightly more as he’ll first play five T20Is and then move on to the longer format, ODIs.
