Akash Deep hails from Dehri(Rohtas), Bihar. He is a right-arm medium-pacer who has a knack for breaking partnerships. Besides batting, he is also a handy batter in the lower order.
He made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament in 2019. His first-class debut came in December 2019 for Bengal in Ranji Trophy after leaving Bihar.
He was brilliant during the 1st phase of the Ranji Trophy during pre-IPL 2022. He was sold for Rs 20 lakh in the mega auction after working as a net bowler in the previous edition of the franchise.
