Predicted GT Playing XI vs CSK: Matthew Wade still unavailable, unchanged XI likely

Matthew Wade is unavailable for CSK vs GT IPL 2024 clash having played the Sheffield Shield final.

Gujarat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings for their second match of IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday in a repeat of last year’s final. Having won the first match against Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans are confident. And with Matthew Wade still unavailable after playing the Sheffield Shield final, it’s less selection headache for Gujarat in CSK vs GT match on Tuesday.

What to expect from CSK vs GT?

Gujarat Titans named a strong line-up against MI in the first match. After scoring just 168 runs, the GT bowlers did extremely well to restrict the Mumbai Indians to just 162 runs. Sai Kishore was the pick of the bowlers, giving away just 24 runs in 4 overs. Moreover, he took the wicket of Rohit Sharma when the Indian captain was looking menacing.

With Mohit Sharma still delivering the goods at the death, Gujarat Titans may not want to tinker much with GT Playing XI. Sai Kishore and Vijay Shankar know the MA Chidambaram Stadium conditions like palm of their hands having spent most of their cricketing days. Hence, Kishore, Sai Sudharsan and Shankar — three Chennai boys — are crucial to GT’s plan to take down CSK.
