The stage is set for the IND vs ENG ODI series. The England Cricket Team will be keen to settle the score after their humiliating 4-1 loss in the T20I series. As the bandwagon shifts to the 50-over format, the Three Lions will be trying and testing out their squad and combinations for the ICC Champions Trophy. But first things first, England will be ready to hit back at India with a strong bowling lineup consisting of 4 pacers.
Team England has only one specialist spinner and thus will also rely heavily on Adil Rashid to bring out the best from a dusty Nagpur track. In the meantime, the visitors have a strong batting lineup and will pose a big threat to the Men in Blue.
Strong top order for England
Ben Duckett and Phil Salt will be facing the new ball. Both the openers have displayed grit and determination in playing aggressive cricket. And with Brendan McCullum claiming that England will don an aggressive brand of cricket, the two openers can be expected to bring out sparks early on.
Best batter Joe Root occupies his preferred number 3 spot, while Harry Brook is very reliable and dependable at number 4. The duo can cushion any blow should the top 2 batters suffer a collapse. Both Root and Brook have the mentality of playing long innings and thus will be a big threat to the opposition.
Buttler leads the middle-order
England captain Jos Buttler has demoted himself down the order to occupy the lower middle order. He will be joined by the ever-aggressive Liam Livingstone. While Jos Buttler can act as an anchor, the youngster would surely serve as the enforcer. The duo will be ready to help make a grand finish, either while chasing or when setting up a huge score.
Buttler has a knack for scoring big runs and thus can act as the perfect pivot with the top order. Meanwhile, Livingstone will be ready to go all guns blazing at the Indian bowling unit.

4 pacers for England
England will be heading into the game with 4 pacers and a solitary spinner. Adil Rashid is the only specialist while Joe Root can act as a backup. Another all-rounder who can turn the ball is Jacob Bethell but he is not likely to make the playing XI.
Coming to the pacer unit, Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, and Brydon Carse form a dominant quartet in the attacking force. It will be interesting to see how these pacers bring out the best in the dusty Nagpur track.
