Peshawar Zalmi owner asks PCB to include Peshawar as new venue in PSL 10

PSL 10: Javed Afridi owner of Peshawar Zalmi demands Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to include Peshawar as new venue in PSL 10

The owner of Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi has appealed to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make Peshawar one of the venues of PSK 10. Afridi has been appalled by the absence of Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches taking place in Peshawar. Citing home advantage, he has asked the PCB to let Peshawar host matches in the tournament.

While the construction work at the Peshawar Stadium is yet to be completed. Javed Afridi has asked for cooperation from the apex body to help in the completion of the remainder of the 20% of construction work.

Javed Afridi wrote an email to PCB where he requested the chief Mohsin Naqvi to form a committee to ensure the conduction of PSL matches in Peshawar.

“Had a productive call with CM KP @AliAminKhanPTI. He has given directives to the sports department to release funds for the remaining 20% job at Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawar. Chairman PCB is in favor of hosting Peshawar Zalmi games in Peshawar. Get ready for some thrilling events before PSL, fans will see International Stars at KP Soil. InshaAllah,” Afridi wrote on Social Media.

PSL 10 set to commence from 7th April and conclude on 20th May. The schedule of PSL will also be clashing directly with the schedule of the Indian Premier League. In 2025, PSL will start in April and not in February as per the norm as Pakistan will be hosting the ICC Champions Trophy in February.
