PSL 2026 Captains & Teams

The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) has expanded to eight teams from six in the last edition. Apart from the original six teams, the two new additions are Hyderabad Kingsmen and Pindiz. At the PSL team auction, Sialkot Stallionz became the seventh team. However, OZ Developers, who won the bid for Sialkot, sold the team to CD Ventures. The new owners, instead, opted to bid for Multan Sultans and relocated the franchise from Sialkot to Multan. Thus, Sialkot Stallionz became defunct within a month.

PSL 2026 Format

The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will follow a different format to accommodate the expansion. Eight teams are divided into two groups of four each. Each team will play two games against the teams in their own group. Each team will also play a single game against teams in the opposite group.

• League Stage: Each of the eight teams plays 10 matches (double round-robin).
• Points System: Wins earn 2 points, ties/no-results 1 point each, losses 0. Net Run Rate (NRR) serves as the tiebreaker.
• Playoffs: Top four teams qualify. It includes Qualifier (1 vs 2), Eliminator 1 (3 vs 4), Eliminator 2 (loser of Qualifier vs winner of Eliminator 1), and the Final.

PSL 2026 schedule

The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will be played across just two venues from March 26 with the final on May 3. The PCB announced a revised PSL 2026 schedule with the country going through a fuel crisis. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium in Karachi will host 22 matches each. Lahore will host Eliminator 1, 2 and the final. Karachi will host 21 leaue games and the Qualifier.
