Mumbai Indians open their IPL 2024 campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 24th

Hardik Pandya is all set to return to the sport as Mumbai Indians aim for their record sixth title in IPL 2024. The newly appointed skipper spoke on the importance of the presence of Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian Premier League outfit.

“Jassi has been our No. 1 bowler for a long time. he has been a champion cricketer. Yes, last year, they did miss him. This year we are fortunate that he is available. hopefully, he will be firing from all cylinders.” said Hardik Pandya.

“He will definitely be one of the leaders who will guide other bowlers with the experience and knowledge he has, he added.

Bumrah has played a pivotal role in MI’s five IPL title victories and is poised to make significant contributions in the upcoming 2024 season. With 120 matches under his belt in the lucrative league, Bumrah stands as MI’s second-highest wicket-taker, having claimed over 140 dismissals. His formidable bowling action and precise execution promise to pose significant challenges for opposing batters.

The Mumbai Indians kick off their IPL 2024 campaign against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday. MI has seen a shift in leadership, with the team now under the guidance of Hardik, who returns to the franchise after leading the Gujarat Titans to two highly successful seasons. Hardik takes over the reins from Rohit as the captain of MI.
