Off the field India vs Pakistan banter begins before T20 World Cup, Suresh Raina gives it back to Pak journalist

Suresh Raina gave a befitting response to a Pakistan journalist who attempted to troll him for not being named an ambassador for T20 World Cup

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina gave a befitting reply to a Pakistan journalist who attempted to mock the southpaw on social media. Tagging Raina in a post on social media platform X, a journalist took a dig at the Indian over Shahid Afridi being named an ambassador for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Suresh Raina’s befitting response to Pakistan journalist’s dig

Suresh Raina returned the favour to the journalist by reminding him that they were the winners of the 2011 World Cup. To add more salt to the wound, the southpaw specifically reminded the journalist of his knock against Pakistan in Mohali, hoping that it brought back ‘unforgettable memories’ for Pakistan fans.

Raina’s banter with the Pakistan journalist comes weeks ahead of the high-octane India vs Pakistan clash on June 9. The arch-rivals will lock horns in the group stage match of the T20 World Cup in New York. In the game against Pakistan in Mohali in 2011, Suresh Raina played a memorable 36-run knock off 39 deliveries, guiding India to a formidable total at the end of the 1st innings.

India went to win the game by 29 runs, with Raina’s knock making the difference for the Men in Blue .
