For the last couple of years, Kane Williamson-led New Zealand have been impressive in all formats. After the 50-over World Cup and the World Test Championship, the BlackCaps have now made three finals in three years in three formats.
They made it to the final of the 2019 50-over World Cup after knocking pre-tournament India in the semi-final. And, missed the 2019 WC trophy by the barest of margins after losing out on boundary count to England. The BlackCaps then clinched the inaugural World Test Championship title earlier this year with a win over India.
And, now they have made it to the T20 World Cup final also! Sunday’s T20 World Cup final will be Kiwis’ third straight final appearance in an ICC tournament.

The Aussies, on the other hand, are also aiming for their maiden trophy in the shortest format. And to add to it, Aaron Finch’s side is also coming off after knocking out pre-tournament favorites Pakistan in a thriller in semi-final 2.
Australia, who have won the 50-over Cricket World Cup trophy five times are yet to win the ICC T20 World Cup trophy. In 2010, they came close to winning the trophy but lost to Ashes rivals England in the summit clash.
