KL Rahul as India’s 2nd wicketkeeper for T20 World Cup?

The first-choice wicketkeeper for India is automatically Rishabh Pant. The southpaw, who made his comeback in IPL 2024 after being on the sidelines since a horrific car crash in December 2022, has all but sealed his spot in the squad with impressive performances with the bat.

KL Rahul has amassed 302 runs so far in 8 games and has a strike rate of 141.12. Sanju Samson, on the other hand, has 314 runs to his name and a strike rate of 152.42. Despite Samson having an edge over Rahul, the latter is likely to be preferred, given his ability bat in the middle order and the variety of strokes that are in his arsenal.
