Mumbai Indians have given free tickets to 18,000 children for MI vs DC match in what can be an attempt to reduce the booing directed at Hardik Pandya

It looks like Mumbai Indians are going all out to reduces the booing directed at skipper Hardik Pandya. 18,000 children have been given free tickets for MI vs DC match at the Wankhede stadium as a part of Education and Sports for All (ESA) initiative. If this was indeed a technique used by MI for their home game, then it has backfired.

Videos that emerged on social media showed that there were booming ‘Rohit Rohit’ chants from the children in the stands. It remains to be seen how the crowd will treat Hardik Pandya when he comes out to bat or takes the field when MI bowl.
