Marcus Stoinis ready to contribute for Australia despite not getting Central Contract for 2024-25

No Central Contract for next year, but Marcus Stoinis ready to contribute for Australia Cricket Team after ICC T20 World Cup

No Central Contract with Australian Cricket Team! No Problem for Marcus Stoinis. The 34-year old Aussie all-rounder however is still keen to represent his country after the T20 World Cup. Without a central contract for 2024-25, Stoinis proved that he still has got it with a match winning century for LSG against CSK.

Lucknow Super Giants needed one of their key players to shine. And Marcus Stoinis stood firm. Promoted up the order, now at number 3, he remained unbeaten on 124 from 63 deliveries as Lucknow Super Giants did the double over Chennai Super Kings.

No Central Contract – Yet keen to contribute

Marcus Stoinis’s central contract with Cricket Australia runs till 30th June. The 34-year old’s fresh contract hasn’t been renewed by CA. But that is not the end of the world for Stoinis. The power hitter is still willing to contribute for his side post ICC T20 World Cup.

“I’ve got a great relationship with the [Australia] coach [Andrew McDonald]. Me not getting a contract, I knew that a while ago. I think it is great to give younger kids a crack and let them take my spot. I’m absolutely fine with that on the contract list. But on the playing front, obviously want to make sure that I’m there and that’s also why it’s so lucky for us and for me particularly to have this competition [the IPL], that’s why I love it so much” Marcus Stoinis said after the CSK vs LSG clash.
