It was a total disaster as far as Lahore’s batting is concerned. Mohammad Naeem was dismissed on the very first ball, While Haseebullah Khan and Abdullah Shafique adding 26 runs in 25 balls. Post that, the team kept losing wickets, at regular intervals, in fact every over. Imad Wasim was brilliant with the ball for Islamabad, claiming figures of 2/13. Richard Gleeson also returned with similar figures in three overs. Chris Green picked up 3 wickets, while skipper Shadab Khan picked 2.
An easy chase
From there on, the chase was never going to be an issue. Yes, Sameer Minhas was dismissed early, but Devon Conway took from there, and smashed 59 from 35 deliveries. Mohammad Faiq too chipped in with 34 from 19. The only wicket that fell, went to Shaheen.
