The iconic duo paring of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal can be back for Team India in the ICC T20 World Cup. While Kuldeep is a mainstay in the team, Chahal is likely to return after his long exile from the Men in Blue. The ace spinner is rocked IPL 2024 with 11 wickets from 6 games.
Despite his snub from the Indian Team, Chahal has been brilliant in IPL 2024. For Rajasthan Royals, the veteran spinner has woven his magic. In fact he tops the charts with most wickets, 11. RR currently tops the points table and this largely owing to some spectacular bowling by Chahal.
Yuzvendra Chahal weaves magic in IPL 2024
Yuzvendra Chahal last featured for India in India tour of West Indies last year ahead of the Asia Cup. Following which he was dropped from the squad for Asia Cup and then the ODI World Cup. Even Chahal was not in the plans as India got the likes of Ravi Bishnoi.
But the Rajasthan Royals spinner came out strongly and did what he does best. He started taking wickets in a flurry. Kuldeep Yadav on the other hand has played 3 matches so far in the tournament. The leggie too has bagged 6 wickets already.
If Chahal continues to bowl like this till the rest of the tournament, then it is highly likely he will get selected. This is especially since Ravi Bishnoi is going through a rather lean patch. The LSG bowler has managed to bag 4 wickets in 6 games so far.
