Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul stressed that it was essential for the side to manage pacer Mayank Yadav well. The 21-year-old has impressed with his fiery 150+ kmph deliveries in the games he’s played so far in IPL 2024. LSG won the toss and have opted to bat first against GT.

Speaking at the toss, Rahul points out that injuries had been hard on Mayank’s body in the past. He adds that the support staff, including Morne Morkel and others, will look after the youngster.
“It’s still his (Mayank Yadav) first season, a few injuries have been hard on his body. For a 21 old boy he’s very professional. It’s important for us to manage him. We have some good fast bowlers and we have Morne and others to look after him,” KL Rahul said.
