Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Harshit Rana is on cloud nine, with his performance in IPL 2024 and KKR’s glory headlining his success in the recent edition. The young pacer bagged 19 wickets in 13 games, becoming one of KKR’s most lethal pacers. After a stellar IPL season, Rana has set his eyes on the India jersey and wants to don it, irrespective of the format.

“Mujhe India jersey chahiye (I want to get that Indian jersey). It doesn’t matter if I get it in the T20Is, the ODIs or in the whites,” Harshit Rana told the Indian Express.

Rana and the SRK celebration
In the early stage of IPL 2024, Harshit Rana was suspended for a game because of his ‘flying kiss’ celebration. However, the pacer and KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan had the last laugh as the team lifted their 3rd trophy. Rana revealed the reason behind SRK’s gesture and it’s association with Rana’s infamous celebration.
“Oh Yes! After I got banned for one match, I was very sad and then Shah Rukh sir came to me and said ‘Tu tension mat le ye waali celebration Trophy ke saath karenge (We will celebrate the IPL with a flying kiss). He promised me and made sure that we did that with the trophy and our team,” Rana added.
