Jofra Archer makes his presence felt for KSCA XI, breaks stump while bowling

Jofra Archer last played a competitive match in IPL 2023, where for Mumbai Indians, in five matches he picked up two wickets.

Looks like England fast bowler Jofra Archer is leaving no stone unturned to make a proper comeback to competitive cricket. And for the same reason he decided to give IPL 2024 a pass. Now, as it turns out, Archer is in India, and playing for the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) XI against his county team Sussex in Alur.

Sussex men’s first team is in Bangalore for a camp, with their County Championship beginning on April 5. In fact, Sussex also posted a video of Archer in action, where he took the wicket of Tom Alsop. In another video, he can be seen breaking the off-stump, as the batsman misses the ball completely.

Recurring Injuries for Jofra Archer

The 2019 World Cup winner, Archer has been out of the English team for almost a year now, after he suffered an elbow stress fracture while playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. In fact, since 2021, he has only played a handful of games for England. But finally, England would be hoping that he will 100% fit for the T20 World Cup that is scheduled to take place in the USA and the West Indies in June.
