Is Rishabh Pant the most difficult player to get out of the nets? Decide for yourself

Pant had a great comeback to cricket, scoring 18 runs and claiming one catch and one stumping to announce his return.

After being out of action for 14 months, Rishabh Pant is not ready to shed his bat anymore. Getting ready for the Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals match on March 28, the wicketkeeper batter wasn’t ready to leave the nets. Having made the promise to play just three more balls, the Delhi Capitals captain continued to play for one more hour.

An hour later, their throwdown specialist was tired, but Rishabh Pant wasn’t ready yet. He yelled, ‘Last two balls’. But pretty soon he broke that promise as well and continued to bat until dawn. At last, he said, ‘Last ball’, and then smashed the ball into the orbit to conclude his practice.

Rishabh Pant’s unquenchable hunger

Before his comeback, Ricky Ponting said that Pant was ready and itching to return. The Delhi Capitals head coach had even claimed that it’s getting tough to keep him out of the nets. He said:

“We had a week’s training in Vizag before coming here, and trust me, Rishabh is back and ready to play. He is batting and moving behind the stumps beautifully. Sometimes he bats too much, and I have to drag him out of the nets.”
