The Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) are one of the eight original franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite participating in every season since 2008, the Capitals have yet to win the prestigious IPL trophy. After underwhelming results for five consecutive years, the team underwent a leadership change in 2018. The change proved to be a good one and produced great results. In the following six seasons, the Capitals made the playoffs three times (2019, 2020, and 2021), with a final appearance in 2020. However, DC underwent another overhaul in 2025 with Rishabh Pant leaving the franchise for Lucknow Super Giants. Axar Patel is the current captain.

Delhi Capitals Bio
The Delhi Capitals were one of the best sides in the early years of the IPL. They finished fourth in the group stage in 2008 and first in 2009, making the semifinals in both editions. Things took a dramatic turn for the franchise from then on. In the next eight years, the Capital managed to qualify for the playoffs just once (2012).
Since their rebranding in 2018, the Capitals have pulled things back. They made three consecutive playoff appearances from 2019 to 2021, including a final in 2020, but their maiden IPL title still eludes them.
