Newly appointed Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill is set for his inaugural IPL 2024 encounter against Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians (MI) in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 24. Interestingly, Gill will face his former GT skipper, with whom he enjoyed considerable success over the past two seasons.
The camaraderie between Hardik and Gill nurtured during their time together at the Titans and with Team India, was evident in a heartwarming video shared by Gujarat Titans on Instagram, capturing Gill warmly embracing Pandya.

During his tenure with GT, Pandya showcased his multifaceted talents, significantly impacting the team’s fortunes. After clinching the IPL title with GT in 2022 and finishing as runners-up last year, Pandya shares strong bonds with former teammates, engaging in lively conversations with players like Jayant Yadav and Rahul Tewatia.
In a notable move last November, Pandya returned to his former franchise, Mumbai Indians (MI), following a trade between the two teams. His stint with GT saw impressive performances, with Pandya amassing 833 runs in 31 matches at an average of 37.86 and a striking rate exceeding 133. Additionally, he exhibited his bowling prowess, claiming 11 wickets for the team, including best figures of 3/17.
