Rohit disappoints on Birthday- It never rains but it pours for Rohit Sharma as the birthday boy was dismissed in the third over of the match. The right-hand batter has been going through his worse IPL season and his latest disappointment has once again raised question marks on whether he should take a break from the game. Rohit fell victim to Ravichandran Ashwin as both he and MI continue their poor run of form.
Rohit in numbers – The MI skipper has so far played 9 matches in the current season and has scored 155 runs, with an average of under 20. His best score of 41 runs came against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the first match and since then Rohit has had an IPL to forget. The six-time IPL winner will now try to change his luck while MI are already out of the tournament and steering to a ninth consecutive defeat of the season.

Rohit needs to take inspiration from Virat – The former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper recently changed his batting position and started opening the innings and was rewarded for that. Virat scored his first fifty of the IPL season earlier in the day against Gujarat Titans (GT) with a well-made 58-run knock. Rohit on the horizon can also take inspiration from the former India captain and a change in position or approach could help him rejuvenate his IPL season.
