GT vs RCB LIVE: Contrary to Ravi Shastri, Aakash Chopra’s advice to Virat Kohli ‘No Break Please, keep playing & score runs’
Aakash Chopra said in a Q&A session on his YouTube channel: “Difficult question. Everyone is coming up with their own theory. It’s not like Virat hasn’t been getting any rest. Obviously, he’s not gone away from the game for three to four months, but he has skipped various matches across formats in recent times.”
“If he stops playing, how will he score runs? To win a battle, you have to fight it out in the middle. You have to fall, rise and run again,” he said.
“There was a six-month COVID break. Did anything change? I personally feel that he must keep playing,” he concluded.

Virat Kohli has been criticised for his poor performance in the IPL 2022 season. Despite two 40-run innings early in the season, he has failed to put runs on the board.
- Kohli has scored a mere 128 runs in nine matches for RCB this season with 48 being his highest score.
- His promotion to the opening slot in RCB’s previous match after scoring back-to-back ducks too did not yield results as he was out for 9.
- Kohli’s form has been one of the reasons for the inconsistent show of RCB who are currently at the fifth spot with five wins from nine matches.
- The Bengaluru-based team, though, is hoping that the former India captain would return to form soon with captain Faf du Plessis backing him after their last match.

Kohli hasn’t been in the kind of shape that he typically is even before this season. Since the Day-Night Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in November 2019, he has not scored a century in international cricket or the IPL.
RCB will lock horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday, April 30. GT are currently in first place on the points table.
