IPL 2022: Fans react hilariously in SRH’s new jersey launch – Sunrisers Hyderabad took to social media to launch their new jersey for IPL 2022 ahead of the upcoming and much anticipated IPL 2022 Mega Auction. With many changes from the previous year’s jersey, the new jersey that the SRH players would be donning is much simpler and sports a unique combination of the colours Orange and Black. SRH fans found the new jersey to be hilarious and reacted accordingly. With such a simple designed jersey, fans were eager to find a better and more complex designed kit. The new jersey of SRH has the primary orange colour which encompasses almost the entirety of the jersey, with the sleeves being black in colour. At the bottom of the hand sleeves, a wire-meshed design of black and orange is also visible. The margins of the collar of the jersey are, however, black in colour.

No such design or black coloured stripes is evident in the pants. A simple bright orange pant dons with the jersey. Fans were amused and displeased with the lack of creative input from the SRH franchise into the jersey and reacted by posting funny memes and tweets on social media.

Though Sunrisers Hyderabad was hoping to please the fans with their new jersey launch ahead of the IPL 2022 Auction, however, much to their displeasure, the jersey was not taken well among the fans.

SRH head into the IPL 2022 Mega Auction on the 12th and 13th of February with a remaining budget purse of 68 Cr. The Hyderabad outfits retained 3 of their players from the previous season. Kane Williamson was retained for a price cap of 14 Cr while youngsters Umar Malik and Abdul Samad were retained for a salary cap of 4 Cr each. SRH will be eyeing some of the big names in the auction, to fulfill their target of achieving the IPL title, which they won the only and the last time in 2016.
