The new-look Bangalore side, under the new leadership of South African batter Faf du Plessis will take the field on Sunday, March 27, to take on Punjab Kings. Ahead of the match, the veteran player has revealed which two youngsters could turn out to be revelations for RCB.

“Anuj, I’m looking forward to that. He’s an exciting, young left-hander. And then Akash (Deep) as well. I think for someone that’s brand new, there’s something there. I like working with the younger, raw talent that’s there. And put the experience over their talent and see how it goes,” said du Plessis, as quoted by the RCB website.

RCB have assembled a fairly decent squad at the auction, but now everything is up to the players to justify their price tags and guide the team to what will be their maiden IPL title. Speaking on how the mood is in the camp, Faf said:
“We’ve had a good preparation. Everyone’s ready to go, everyone’s really excited for the first match. The last two days have been quite hard to make sure that we get all the work done, and then we’re ready to go.”
