“We look forward to Shimron then returning to Mumbai, and resuming duties at the Royals for the remainder of our matches in IPL 2022. All the best, Hettie. We can’t wait to have you back, this time as a father!” it added.
Shimron Hetmyer has been exceptional this season with 291 runs in 11 innings at a brilliant average of 72.75 and strike rate of 166.28.
He is one of the strong forces behind RR’s 7 wins in 11 matches for the franchise, they now need a couple of points in the next three matches to enter the IPL 2022 playoffs.
In absence of Hetmyer, RR have other options in form of James Neesham, Rassie van der Dussen & Daryl Mitchell.
