Chasing 193 to win, SRH got off to the worst possible start losing two wickets in the first over with openers Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma departing for ducks. Rahul Tripathi continued in his uber attacking fashion and found little support from Aiden Markram as the duo put on 50 runs for the third wicket.
However, Markram’s languid display soon caught up and the South African was caught in the deep handing Wanindu Hasaranga his first wicket. Tripathi continued to plunder the runs, but the chase lost steam as he kept running out of partners eventually himself gettting dismissed of 58.
Hasaranga then bundled out the rest of the tail to pick up his maiden IPL fifer to jump into the reckoning of the IPL 2022 purple cap. Sunrisers eventually only managed 125 on the board, handing RCB a 67-run win on Sunday.

Faf du Plessis held the RCB innings together as Rajat Patidar and Dinesh Karthik also chipped in with fine cameos to help RCB to put on a commanding 192 batting first at the Wankhede.
RCB got off to the worst possible start as former captain Virat Kohli was out for a first-ball duck in the first ball of the innings. However, Du Plessis along with Rajat Patidar put on a century stand to put RCB right on the top in the game.
While Du Plessis reached his half-century, Patidar fell agonizingly short, departing for 48 with Suchith bagging his 2nd wicket. Maxwell then joined forces with his captain to press on the accelerator, chipping in with a fine 30. With two overs left, Dinesh Karthik chipped in with an 8-ball 30, including 22 of the last four balls of the innings to take RCB to 192.
