Shreyas Iyer is on the wishlist of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). All three franchises are ready to undergo a bidding war for the right-handed batsman in the auction.
“Iyer is set to be the hottest property this IPL Auction. Multiple franchises are seeing him as the leader of their squad. His performance, leadership skills will make them bid big for Iyer”, declared a source tracking IPL Auctions very closely.
InsideSport also reached out to interested franchises but did not get any response from them.
“We don’t discuss our strategy in open. You will have to wait for the IPL Auctions”, said a player scout involved with RCB.

With Eoin Morgan’s lean patch with the bat, KKR are likely to move on from England captain. They will look for a new captain who can lead the side for the next 3-4 seasons in the next IPL cycle. They will bank on Shreyas Iyer as captain choice to end their title drought since 2014.
PBKS
Shreyas Iyer might just be the perfect replacement for Punjab Kings. The franchise has struggled for the last 2-3 seasons and needs a player to strengthen the middle-order.
