1: Liam Livingstone
England all-rounder Liam Livingstone managed to grab eyeballs when he was brought by PBKS for 11.5 crores. He is one of the biggest six-hitters in the T20 currently. When on song, there is no better sight than watching the right-hand batter murder bowling attacks. He burst onto the scene by scoring England’s fastest T20I centaury versus Pakistan.

2: Tim David
Singapore-born Tim David was the talk of the town on day two of the mega auctions. Mumbai Indians paid a staggering amount of 8.25 crores to buy David. The 25-year-old is one of T20 cricket’s ferocious strikers of the ball. The right-hand batter is also considered a death-overs specialist. In 85 T20 games, he has scored 1908 runs and has hit 113 sixes.
The 25-year-old also scores at a strike rate of 159. 39. He has already taken the BBL and PSL by storm due to his blitz. MI would be hoping he strikes big during IPL 2022.
3: Shahrukh Khan
PBKS and CSK were at loggerheads to acquire the services of Tamil Nadu batter Shahrukh Khan. It was PBKS who managed to have the last laugh and brought Shahrukh for 9 crores. The 26-year-old burst onto the limelight by managing to perform well during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. 4: David Warner
Australia opener David Warner was brought for a steal price by Delhi Capitals in the IPL mega auctions. DC paid 6.25 crores. He remains the game’s destructive white-ball openers. The 35-year-old scored 289 runs in the T20 World Cup 2021 and bagged the player of the match award. The southpaw was at its destructive best and managed to get Australia to flying starts.
He has played 150 IPL games and has scored 5449 runs at a strike rate of 139.97. The southpaw has also hit 200 sixes.
5: Jonny Bairstow
England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow slots in next. The right-hand batter was snapped up by PBKS for 6.75 crores. Bairstow can kill the run-chase or set things nicely in the power play. He has shots all around the ground and is effective in playing pace and spin well. The wicketkeeper-batter has hit 46 sixes in the 28 innings that he has batted for SRH.
