Why the auction timings have been changed? In IPL 2020 auction was conducted to fill only 73 Spots and auction started at 2PM.
The IPL 2022 Auction is MEGA-AUCTION where all 10 teams will be building their teams from scratch. The teams will fight to fill 217 slots & have a appetite to shower 561.5 Cr on the players.

IPL Auction LIVE Updates – IPL 2022 Auction LIVE: The stage can’t get bigger than this for the World of Cricket. The 10 IPL Teams CSK, DC, MI, RCB, SRH, PBKS, RR, KKR, Lucknow & Ahmedabad are ready to shower 561.5 Cr to fill 217 slots at IPL Auction.
“Absolutely excited, this is the time to crack the code. This is the time to have right guys in the team and chase IPL glory”, said member of the Punjab Kings management.
“Can it get bigger than this? This is the power of IPL. Cricketers on Saturday and Sunday will get richer by more than 500 Crores. We wish every team best of luck for the auction in Bengaluru”, Arun Dhumal, BCCI Treasurer told InsideSport.
While KL Rahul will lead the Lucknow franchise, Hardik Pandya will lead Ahmedabad. Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have assigned captains as well.
The likes of KKR, RCB, PBKS will look for potential captains at IPL Auction.
Overall, 250 Cricketers will earn whooping 900 Cr by the end of auction in Bengaluru.

Each team has been allocated a budget of INR 90 crore for the IPL 2022 Auction.
