“He wanted one of my cricket bags and I wanted one of his bats. So, we did a little trade and I’ve been using it in white-ball cricket all summer,” he told the BBC.
“So maybe I owe Riyan for all the sixes that I’ve been hitting over the last couple of months,” he added.
Livingstone had pulled out of IPL 2021 during the first phase of the tournament citing bubble fatigue but now he is feeling fresh.
IPL 2021: RR’s Liam Livingstone is in an exceptional form ahead of the IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE. He emerged as the highest run-scorer in the recently-concluded ‘The Hundred’. The right-handed batsman smashed 348 runs in 9 matches at a strike rate of 178+. He slammed as many as 27 sixes, most in the tournament. He is expected to emulate his success in the IPL 2021. In absence of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, RR will be hopeful that he will contribute in the best way possible as the franchise look for a playoff spot.

IPL 2021- Liam Livingstone: The strike rates of all Rajasthan Royals batsmen except Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Shivam Dube, and David Miller have been disappointing. Other batsmen had failed to contribute in the last leg of IPL 2021. If Livingstone can step up to the challenge, RR will definitely seal top 4 place in IPL 2021 ahead of knockouts. RR can also realise their second IPL trophy after a barren run since the inaugural title in 2008.
