Will KKR sack Eoin Morgan from captaincy and playing XI?
Looking at the poor run of the skipper, Kolkata Knight Riders face a big question of whether to continue with Eoin Morgan as skipper or not. He was appointed as KKR skipper in IPL 2020 mid-season after Dinesh Karthik stepped down from the captaincy role.
Dinesh Karthik captained KKR for two entire seasons of the IPL, guiding the team to the knockouts in 2018 and a fifth-place finish in 2019 before Morgan took over the reign. In the 2020 edition, Kolkata Knight Riders failed to make it to the playoffs just because of a lower run rate than the fourth-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore.
While KKR still has slim chances of making it to the IPL 2021 playoffs, Eoin Morgan seems to be out on fuel for the next IPL edition.
