Earlier, Chennai Super Kings and England dealt a big blow with bowling all-rounder Sam Curran ruled out of the T20 World Cup and IPL 2021 with a lower back injury. Even though he has struggled with his form, he has been an important figure in CSK with the IPL 2021 Playoffs around the corner. His brother Tom Curran has been called up by England as a replacement.
As per a statement by ECB, Sam Curran complained of back pain after the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
