Indian players are marquee players in IPL 2025 mega auction?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction will take place on November 24-25 in Jeddah, with seven Indian players set to be auctioned in the marquee set.

The list of players for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction has been released, featuring a special marquee set. This set includes players with the potential to attract the highest bids in the auction. Notably, several Indian players are also part of the marquee group for the upcoming auction.

Seven Indian players will be auctioned in marquee set. According to the final list released by the BCCI will include Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer—are part of the elite group for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction. Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Arshdeep Singh are joining them in the main group.

Players participating in the IPL 2025 mega auction

Out of the initial 1,574 players who registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction, the list has been trimmed to 574, comprising 366 Indian players and 208 overseas players. The final list also includes three players from associate nations, featuring USA’s Ali Khan and Unmukt Chand.

A total of 204 slots are available, with 70 reserved for foreign players. The highest base price stands at ₹2 crore, with 81 players opting for this top bracket.

Following the release of the retention lists by all 10 franchises, 46 players secured their spots, accounting for a combined expenditure of ₹558.5 crore. This leaves the franchises with ₹641.5 crore in their collective budget for the auction.
