Gwalior who would be hosting the IND vs BAN 1st T20I is now a high security zone. Both the India Cricket Team and the Bangladesh Team were given comprehensive triple-layered security. Both teams arrived yesterday as over 1600 security jawans were deployed enforcing utmost security for the teams.
The concerns for security rose after the Hindu Mahasabha called for a bandh on 6th October, the day of the match. The party is objecting to the match in protest of the atrocities faced by Hindus in Bangladesh. Gwalior is set to host an international match after a long span of 14 years.

When the team arrived, they were given triple-layered security at the Shankarpur Cricket Stadium. Along with 1600 jawans, further security measures were adopted in the team’s journey route. Drop gates and barricades were installed in 26 locations and 14 intersections.
India arrived in Gwalior on three different flights. The youngsters of Mayank Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag reached the city at 8:30 AM in the morning from Bengaluru and were in a special camp at the NCA. They were followed by Harsjit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and others at 11 AM. And lastly, the seniors including Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya reached the city at 1:55 PM
The Bangladesh Team too arrived on different flights. The die-hard cricket fans greeted both the teams at the airport. The Hindu Mahasabha organized a black-flag rally on the very same day as a mark of protest against the match. However, the protestors were detained by the police who conducted the rally without taking permission from the authorities.
