However, Pakistan has sent a strong statement to India with a mega win over HongKong. The Men in Green played brilliant all-round cricket to register a 155-run over HongKong. Though their opponent might not be great, such wins give teams a boost.
Afridi is of the opinion that that Pakistan did well against India and also HongKong, and have all the ingredients to beat India. “Pakistan team fought really hard against India and then their last victory over Hong Kong must have given them much-needed rhythm,” Geo TV quoted Afridi as saying. “Pakistan team has all the ingredients for a solid performance against India. They can beat them in super 4s on Sunday [September 4].”
When it comes to ingredients, Pakistan have some genuine match-winners. In the batting front, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan hold the key at the top. Asif Ali is a solid finisher on his day.

Though the pace department has been further depleted with Shahnawaz Dahani’s injury, is their main man. The youngster troubled India in the opening game. Azam will be asking the speedster to deliver a similar performance on Sunday.
But then, India will also be upbeat about the match. They have quality players in all the departments of the game. But they also have some injury issues with Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the clash. Avesh Khan is also doubtful. Rahul Dravid will expect their replacements to shine on the big day.
