IND vs IRE: India warm up for Pakistan clash with easy win over Ireland on dangerous pitch

India survive shocking two-paced, uneven Nassau Pitch, thrash Ireland by 8 wickets with Rohit Sharma hitting fifty before retiring hurt with an elbow injury.

IND vs IRE: India Cricket Team are off to a winning start in T20 World Cup 2024. On a shocking New York pitch that was uneven and two-paced, India bowled out Ireland for a paltry 96 runs. Rohit Sharma hit 37-ball 52 while Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on a 26-ball 36 to chase the target down in 12.2 overs for a comfortable win in Group A.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya bagged three while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh picked up two wickets each. Earlier, Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first in cloudy conditions after winning the toss.

However, India will be worried with Rohit Sharma retiring hurt after getting on the elbow on the uneven surface. Virat Kohli too did not last long falling for just 1. Suryakumar Yadav too had an off day as he tried to finish things early, only to depart for 2. But Pant saw things off with a six to give India 2 points.
