IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Confident England ‘not worried’ about KL Rahul & Jadeja’s replacements

In KL Rahul's absence, either Sarfaraz Khan or Rajat Patidar will make their debut, while there is a three-way battle between Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Saurabh Kumar for Jadeja's spot.

The England cricket team is on cloud nine after their remarkable comeback in Hyderabad. The Ben Stokes-led side is known to back themselves and not be too worried about what’s happening in the other camp.

With the India cricket team in turmoil with three key players missing out (KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja), England’s designated opener, Zak Crawley, reiterated the same ahead of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Vizag.

Speaking to the press after England’s first practice in Visakhapatnam, Crawley stated that they haven’t talked about KL Rahul or Ravindra Jadeja missing out in Vizag and who’ll replace them.

“We haven’t spoken about that, to be honest,” he said.

He added that they aren’t ‘worried’ about what India is doing and will instead focus on themselves. Talking about how India has incredible depth and the condition in Vizag, he said:

“As I said, it sounds a cliche, but we stick to what we do well, we’re not too worried about what they’re doing. Two very good players missing, but I’m sure looking at their depth, they’ve got two very good players coming in. So that won’t change anything for us too much. We just try and play the same, read the conditions on day one and see what happens from then.”
