IND vs AUS Test: Rishabh Pant dismisses Jasprit Bumrah in nets, shares banter before Perth Test

India begin their Border Gavaskar Trophy on 22nd November at Perth

There is bound to be dun and banter when you have Rishabh Pant beside you. While the India Cricket Team toiled hard in the nets, both Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant had a fun outing where Pant claimed to have dismissed the ace pacer. In a role reversal, it was Pant who rolled out his arms as Bumrah took guards at the nets.

Jasprit Bumrah is an able batter and holds the record for most runs scored in a Test match. While on the other hand, Pant is not a polished bowler and struggled to pitch his deliveries properly. Bumrah was quite calm and went on to defend the deliveries with rather ease.

Role Reversal for Bumrah and Pant

But Pant being Pant, decided to take things up a notch. He claimed that he would do his best to dismiss Jasprit Bumrah and went on to throw down some bouncers. In one such delivery, Bumrah attempted a pull shot which Pant claimed was out and Bumrah was not willing to budge.

Rishabh Pant immediately asked Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel to be the judge, and the Protean was torn in between. Bumrah laughingly said it was an illegal delivery as Pant had extended his sidearm. Pant on the other hand claimed that such was allowed in nets.

But the Indian keeper claimed that Bumrah had failed to connect the ball properly and was caught out in the deep. The speedster was unconvinced and claimed he made proper contact and it was either a four or two runs. Eventually in the end, both the players continued to argue while sharing a laugh in between their banters.
