Shakib finds form despite loss against West Indies –
The Bangladesh skipper top-scored in the first innings with a stylish 51 and backed that up in the second innings with an even more impressive knock of 63 that helped force West Indies to bat a second time.
Shakib has been in action for Bangladesh in the ongoing Test series against West Indies in the Caribbean and the 35-year-old produced an excellent performance with the bat in particular during the first Test of the two-match series.
If Shakib was to re-claim the top ranking for all-rounders it would cap off a massive turnaround for one of Bangladesh’s greatest players of all time.
IND vs ENG and WI vs BAN could be decisive for Ravindra Jadeja-
- As things stand, Jadeja is scheduled to play in only one Test match against England on July 1
- While Shakib will take part in the second Test match against West Indies in the coming days and will be presented with an opportunity to leapfrog the Indian star all-rounder.
- On the flip side Indian all-rounder R Ashwin will also have to work in shifts to reclaim his second spot while Shakib eyes top spot.
- Jadeja will have to be at his fluent best when he takes on England on July 1 as he has 385 ranking points in the standings.

Ishan Kishan in Top 10 of T20I batters rankings-
- Elsewhere, Ishan Kishan has jumped one spot and is joint-sixth in the T20I batters rankings.
- Ishan has 703 ranking points along with New Zealand’s Devon Conway.
- Ishan is the only player from India to make the Top 10 in the batters chart and will have the golden opportunity to impress against Ireland and England in the upcoming series.
- Pakistan duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are top of the pile and it will take some doing to surpass them.
Josh Hazlewood tops the ICC bowlers rankings in T20I format, there is no Indian bowler in the Top 10 T20I rankings.
