From Asha Bhosle to Arijit Singh, check out stars performing in WC opening ceremony

World Cup opening ceremony will take place on October 4 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmadabad. Ranveer Singh, Asha Bhosle, Arjiit Singh are few of stars set to perform in WC opening event

D-day is nearing, and the anticipation has touched sky-high. ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is just three days away, but before the showpiece event kicks off, there will be a grand opening ceremony. As expected, BCCI is leaving no stone untoward and has roped in top stars to mesmerize the audience. The opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday (October 4) at the World’s largest cricket stadium – Ahmedabad.

InsideSport had earlier reported that stars like Asha Bhosle, Arjit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and Ranveer Singh will be performing at the opening ceremony. Now, according to the latest reports from the Times of India, the stars performing at the opening ceremony have been finalized. Ranveer Singh, who was also seen during the WC anthem, is set to perform in the opening ceremony as well.

Apart from Ranveer, Asha Bhosale, Shankar Mahadevan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Varun Dhawan, Asha Bhosle, and Tamannaah Bhatia are set to dazzle in the grand opening ceremony.

Unlike during the IPL, this time the opening ceremony will take place one day in advance on October 4. Since the WC matches will begin at 2 PM, BCCI won’t have enough time for the opening ceremony on October 5. Not only that, but the BCCI has also planned a laser show. 

The opening ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM, after the captains meet. Following the laser show, the artists are set to take centerstage and enthrall the Ahmedabad crowd. 

Apart from the fans, the top officials of the International Cricket Council (ICC) as well as BCCI will attend the event. BCCI and the ICC will invite top administrators of all cricket boards to the event.
