‘For Ashwin from team’: Ex-India star hails Siraj’s fiery spell in IND vs ENG 3rd Test

India were not boggled by the absence of Ashwin as Siraj led the bowling attack to bowl out England in the 1st innings of IND vs ENG 3rd Test

Former cricketer Mohammed Kaif heaped praise on the Indian bowlers, led by Mohammed Siraj, for wreaking havoc on England in IND vs ENG 3rd Test. He opines that this was a fitting tribute to Ravichandran Ashwin, who pulled out of the Test on Day 2 owing to a medical emergency in his family.

Siraj led from the front as he wreaked havoc on the visitors, sending them packing shortly after lunch. He finished the innings with figures of 4-84. Ben Foakes was the fiery pacer’s first wicket on Day 2.

A ripper of a delivery from Siraj made Rehan Ahmed his next victim. James Anderson was the last to perish at the hands of the pacer as he was clean bowled.

Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each. India commenced batting in their 2nd innings, with a lead of 135 runs.
