Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan picked his 15-member India squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. His side had some noticeable elements, including the absence of LSG skipper KL Rahul and RR skipper Sanju Samson. Both keeper-batters have been in prolific form so far in IPL 2024, the audition stage for all cricketers before the marquee event.

The batting unit in Irfan’s squad comprises of the stalwarts including skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, SKY, youngsters Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal. So far. all the above mentioned batters have performed fairly well in IPL 2024, making their case for a spot in the squad for the World Cup.
Hardik Pamdya and Ravindra Jadeja have been picked as the all-rounders in the side alongside an explosive Shivam Dube. Chahal and Kuldeep will head the spin department, in Pathan’s opinion. The pace attack comprises of the lethal trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj and Arshdeep Singh.
