Ahead of IPL 2024 at the RCB Unbox event, Virat Kohli urged fans to not refer to him as 'King Kohli', a nickname that has been used over the years

RCB star Virat Kohli requests not to refer to him as ‘King Kohli’ ahead of IPL 2024. The batting maestro was a part of the grand RCB Unbox event in Bengaluru on Tuesday. As he shared the stage with skipper Faf du Plessis, Kohli urges the presenter (Danish Sait) and fans to stop calling him king and call him just ‘Virat’.

‘Don’t call me king’: Virat Kohli

Firstly, you need to stop calling me that word (King). Please call me Virat. Don’t call me that word (king), I was just telling Faf du Plessis that I feel embarrassed every year when you call me that word. So just call me Virat, please, from now on, don’t use that word, it’s very embarrassing for me,” Virat Kohli said.
