Don’t compromise: Sidhu’s straightforward advice to Rahul Dravid for India’s T20 World Cup squad

The T20 World Cup is set to take place from June 2 to 29 in the USA and West Indies

The buzz around India’s T20 World Cup squad intensifies as the BCCI prepares to announce the 15-member team for the upcoming tournament. Former India opener Navjot Singh Sidhu has now added his voice to the conversation, offering head coach Rahul Dravid a straightforward piece of advice.

Speaking on Star Sports, Sidhu emphasized the importance of having a strong bowling lineup to win the tournament.

‘My straight advice to Rahul Dravid is that if you want to win this tournament, have five wicket-taking specialist bowlers, simple,” said Sidhu without mincing any words.

Sidhu’s advice to Dravid is clear: don’t compromise on the bowling attack. “The collapse of a team’s character often starts with compromise,” he said, emphasizing the need for strong bowlers.

He even suggested some names for the T20 World Cup squad, proposing a mix of spinners and fast bowlers. His spinner picks include Ravi Bishnoi, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav, while he named Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Mohsin Khan, and possibly Mayank Yadav, if fit, as pace options.
