India’s young wicketkeeper and able batter Dhruv Jurel has spoken about the relationship he shares with Rohit Sharma. The young keeper claimed that the Indian skipper treats the youngster in the team like his younger brothers. But Jurel claimed that Rohit is very strict on the field.
Excellent camaraderie
Indian team skipper Rohit Sharma is a brilliant player and also an equally brilliant in managing his team. He remains strict on the field, but off the ground he shares a strong bond with his young teammates.
“Off the ground, Rohit bhai treats us like his younger brothers, but on the field, he is pretty strict, and those videos that have gone viral indicate how strictly he manages the youngsters ( laughs). It’s fun to be around Rohit bhai, as you get to learn so much from him,” Dhruv Jurel told Sportstar.
Working Hard – Only Way
Dhruv Jurel made his debut for Team India in the IND vs ENG Test series. He is yet to feature for the Men in Blue in ODIs and T20Is. But the youngster hogged the limelight for his brilliant batting and keeping during the series. Jurel has claimed that sustainability is important. Thus he needs to work hard to stay in the team.
“I also know that if I don’t lead a disciplined life, take things easy, or become a bit lackadaisical in my training regime, there is a possibility of downfall. Hence, it is important to keep working hard because that’s in your control and not crib about the uncontrollables,” Jurel concluded.
